Facebook is a great place to share your content and with more than 1.2 billion active users and 757 million daily users, that’s a lot of eyeballs to reach. So how do you make your content stand out?

Knowing that 90% of information transmitted to our brain is visual and that we can process images 60,000 times faster than plain text, the answer is to include images with your Facebook posts.

Images on Facebook generate 53% more likes and 104% more comments than the average post according to Hubspot as found on Mike Gingerich‘s blog.

There are a lot of places to find free images online, like the ones shared by Buffer on their blog, but the best option is still to create your own content, and share it on Facebook. You can make your images look pretty fancy with your website, a watermark, an inspirational quote, a tip, a question or a call-to-action. Use websites and apps such as Canva (one of my favs), PicMonkey, Over, PicLab or Studio to create your own spectacular images. Not sure how to do this, check out my 10 minute tutorial on creating beautiful images with Canva.
